10 Things Only Fans of 5 Seconds of Summer Would Understand

Being a fan of 5 Seconds of Summer at this stage in the game is a special experience. Of course, it has its perks, like loving one of the greatest bands ever. (Don’t fight it, just accept this as fact.) But, like all things, it also has it’s downsides. And you get to experience them all, you lucky duck.

But you’re not alone in all of it. Because you know who else can relate to exactly what you go through daily? Duh, other 5SOS fangirls! And to prove to you that you’re not in this all by your lonesome, here are ten things that all 5SOS girls definitely all relate to:

1. Being totally used to and unfazed by their raunchiness. They’re not exactly your typical squeaky-clean young band members, but that’s fine.

2. Realizing you have no idea what to call your fandom. You’re mavericks, is all.

3. Considering Niall Horan an honorary and equally-appreciated member. Duh, everyone wants to be as near these boys as possible.

4. When you see their names written, you read them in their voices and accents, despite NOT being Australian. Is this permanent? Follow-up question: Would that necessarily be a bad thing?

5. Thanking the music gods for Louis Tomlinson. And for YouTube. Because without those two factors, 5SOS probably would have never gotten the attention they absolutely deserve.
