If you asked us what we’d rather be doing at any given moment, the answer would probably always be, “binge-watching our favorite TV show.” That’s because there’s no feeling greater than looking forward to an evening (or, if you’re lucky, an entire weekend OMG) free of plans and full of TV to catch up on. It’s a simple fact.
So it’s weird that we’d also be able to tell you that binge-watching a TV show isn’t all good by any stretch. It isn’t even close to all bad, either. But perfect the experience is not. If you don’t believe us, here are ten very real struggles that you go through when binging on a show. Just ask the profesh TV addict in your life.
1. Finding a show worthy of such dedication. There are a lot of shows of there and very few that are good enough to convince you to cancel your life and watch it straight through.

2. Getting in and staying in a comfortable watching position. Neck cricks. Neck cricks ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT LONG.
3. Running out of snacks. Either that, or running out of the will to even eat, which is oddly worse.
4. Life’s obligations getting in the way of your marathons. Literally, who invented school and did they not consider that, one day, it would interfere with hours-long TV-watching sessions? They should have.
5. Blending storylines. Episode and season distinctions cease to exist about midway-through. At that point, it’s all one really long, complicated episode.
6. Wanting to sleep but being unable to. Sometimes, sleep wins in the TV vs. Sleep fight. But, more often than not, it doesn’t stand a chance.
7. Netflix asking if you’re “still there?” “YES. And now, not only am I still here, but I’m having my show interrupted by your concern, NETFLIX.”
8. Wanting to talk about it all the time, but having no one to talk to about it. If it’s a new show that’s been released all at once, then you risk spoiling it for someone who isn’t as caught up as you are. And if it’s old, no one cares anymore. Sad, sad.
9. Trying to talk about TV with someone. Suddenly, you’ve forgotten every other show you’ve ever watched. Your entire life is your current binge and only your current binge.

10. Having to wait an eternity for new episodes, once you’re caught up. Or worse, if it’s been canceled, dealing with the fact that you’ll never get new episodes again.
